Secrets for Your Business Success…

Driving Organizational Success Through Your Talent!

As leaders, by focusing on how we attract, manage performance, and professionally develop our talent, we can ensure that our organizations have the necessary bench strength to be competitive – the right people, for the right jobs, at the right time!

As I mentioned in a previous post, creating inclusive environments where employees are respected, feel safe, and understand how they make a difference is also really important for both employees and organizations. Employees that feel valued are more connected to their organizations. Organizations with “connected” employees do better financially, are more productive, and have happier customers.

Leaders have an enormous impact on how employees feel about work. Leaders should strive to develop an inclusive employee-focused culture.

Tips for Leaders to Succeed Through Their Talent:

  • Clarify expectations, roles, and processes, deliver appropriate recognition, provide ongoing input, reinforce 2-way communication, and consistently apply practices.
  • Develop and communicate clear professional development processes for current and future positions.
  • Visibly model behavior that you would like others to demonstrate and you will be more likely to observe those behaviors in others.
  • Hold yourself and your staff (at all levels) accountable to the same standards of excellence, ethical behavior, and organization mission and values.

The success of your organization hinges on the quality of leadership at all levels of the organization. Leadership is not only about having a great vision and developing business strategies. Leadership is about implementing your strategies through your people. Your success as a leader is contingent on the success of your people.

As a Leader…make a difference through your talent!
